Come to St Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific Street, on Sunday, June 7 at 6PM for an enjoyable evening of music for all ages. This free concert is indoors in the Mainelli Parish Center. The NWS Swingtones Big Band and the NWS Community Concert Band are both performing.
The June 7 concert opens with the NWS Swingtones with vocalist Renae Rich performing a set of big band tunes from the Great American Song Book.
The Nebraska Wind Symphony directed by Associate Director, Keith Davis, kicks off its portion with Henry Fillmore‘s rousing Americans We. The program continues with a diverse selection including Malcolm Arnold‘s elegant Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo, Ralph Vaughan Williams‘ serene Rhosymedre, and crowd-pleasing Selections from 1776. The evening continues with Frank Ticheli‘s Shenandoah, the energetic All Aboard! by Nathan Farrel, followed by The Battle Hymn of the Republic. The program ends with Samuel A. Ward‘s America the Beautiful and John Philip Sousa‘s The Stars and Stripes Forever March.
