Every event requires a lot of advanced planning to ensure everything is in place.
The most successful events happen through the efforts of volunteers on the day of the event.
We need your help to make the Community Band Festival of the Midlands a fun, enjoyable, and truly successful event.
Hour long slots are available. Feel free to sign up for multiple slots.
If you have a spouse, partner, or friend who are willing to help, please sign them up too.
Other volunteer needs:
People to help the “pass the hat”. Times yet to be finalized. Plan to “pass the hat” several times throughout the day (every other group?) and during the NWS performance. NOTE Not during the Offutt Brass performance.
Job #1 Hospitality Hosts – 2 people/hour – 11:30-8pm
Duties: Man the NWS hospitality tent with display boards. Pass out programs. Answer questions. Help with “passing the hat” and donation bucket.
Job #2 Stage Crew – 2 people/hour – 11:30-7pm
Duties: Help groups with their set up. Move chairs and stands. Monitor the “green room” tents while groups are performing.
Job #3 Street Crew – 2 people/hour , one at each Barricade – 11am-8pm
Duties: Monitor the street barricade and only allow vehicles on approved list to pass through.
